The F.C.
Mason Co. was founded in 1898 by Frank Charles Mason as a blacksmith
shop specializing in tillage tools for the Agricultural Industry.
In 1910 due to increased customer demand, the Company had a major
expansion which quadrupled the manufacturing facilities. As an
interesting sidelight during World War I the F.C. Mason Co. became
part of the war effort by manufacturing truck frames for the Triangle
Truck Co.
In 1920 William Gay purchased controlling interest and management. Mr.
Gay made the decision to expand by creating a Wholesale Distribution
division to serve the growing Agricultural Market.
The company’s expansion and diversification in recent years was
under the leadership of its President, Edward A. Idzkowski.
President Ed Idzkowski felt strongly that the first three generations
of F.C. Mason people have provided a history of accomplishment and
growth that will serve as a springboard for our new management and F.C.
Mason people. We are eager to build future growth...
